Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

Many people are not aware of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.  Its two waterfalls and amazing colors were wonderful to see.

This is the Upper Yellowstone Falls, which drops 109 feet, with the Old Canyon Bridge in the background.  To understand  scale, look at the top right at the brink of the falls.  There are people on an overlook.



We "hiked" down the Uncle Tom Trail.  It was 323 metal stairs bolted to the side of the canyon.  It was not for people afraid of heights!  (Unfortunately, we forgot to get a picture of the steps.)  This is us at the observation point at the end of the trail, with the Lower Yellowstone Falls in the background.
